Friends of BBPDX is a non-profit organization that builds upon the educational work of Business for a Better Portland to catalyze broader community advocacy for good. We create accessible, efficient, and inclusive pathways for civic engagement on issues important to Portland.
We believe collaboration between business and government is crucial to ensuring that Portland recovers from the economic crisis caused by the Covid-19 pandemic in a way that creates greater prosperity for all. After all, in order to have a thriving business, that business must itself be in a thriving community.
Friends of BBPDX cares deeply about solutions that benefit not just business, but also our community and the city we love. As we emerge from a global pandemic, Friends of BBPDX has an incredible opportunity to deepen our role as a convenor and a key small business leadership incubator.
We invest in the next generation of community leaders by creating engaging panel discussions, policy debates, forums and networking opportunities in order to make it easy to learn about the city’s most pressing policy issues, understand how the policy-making process works, and meet key change-makers in local government.
To ensure Portland’s future is an equitable city where prosperity can be shared by all, Friends of BBPDX’s work is more important than ever.
